- Have good conceptual understanding about distributed systems
- Have the ability to adapt coding style to a set of style guides
- Have a good understanding of server side concepts: Monolith, Microservice, Multithreading, Response Time, Protocols (REST, SOAP, WS)
- Have a good understanding of data access strategies
- Have basic understanding of the difference between async and sync communication protocols
- Have the ability to create a software API based on an architectural documentation
- Have the ability to objectively refactor a piece of software for an added benefit
- Have the ability of sustaining a technical presentation for sharing knowledge
- Have the ability to write basic documentation for a discovery or finding
- Have the ability to stick to a coding test coverage / performance threshold
- Have basic understanding of infrastructural concepts: VMs, Containers, Kubernetes, Deployment
