Forasol Energy is an enterprise specialised in the execution of industrial drilling operations. Operating under the Petrom sphere of influence, Forasol is responsible for overseeing multiple drilling projects across Europe.
- Concept -
From a conceptual standpoint, the goal was to manufacture a tool management solution that would keep track of each industrial tool and its maintenance schedule. The solution would be used by engineers at the drilling sites in order to plan specific drilling projects and to request tools for the drilling operation based on the specific needs of each project.

- Challenge -
Technically speaking, the challenge was to collaborate in providing custom software development services for developing a multi-actor software system composed of a web first SPA that would consume a mix of RESTful and Websocket APIs. This solution would allow drill managers to identify tools and to get reports from tool executions in real time, while also matching the tool execution times against a service catalogue.
- SOLUTION -
As a result, the project has passed the prototyping and architecting phase, but has not managed to acquire funding from the Petrom group, and as such was put on hold until opportunity arises.
