PocketDerma is a startup that envisioned a product with the same name, aiming to create a secure tele-medicine platform that would allow dermatologists to interact with and process patients in a case driven fashion.

- Concept -

From a conceptual standpoint, the goal was to manufacture an online platform where patients could report dermatology related issues by creating a case. The patient would describe the affection with both text and images, pay a service fee and the application would allocate a doctor from a pool of dermatologists for processing the case.



- Challenge -

Technically speaking, the challenge was to collaborate in providing custom software development services for developing a multi-actor software system, composed of a responsive single page application that would consume a set of RESTful APIs for facilitating the interaction between doctors and patients on cases. For hosting and storage, the solution relied heavily on a cloud-based infrastructure.

- SOLUTION -

As a result, the platform was brought up to MVP status and was launched on the Romanian market in order to collect feedback. Because the traction that the platform has benefited from was not enough, the project was put on hold.
